Applying for a patent
A patent provides exclusive rights to an invention, preventing others from simply profiting from your ideas. It allows you to commercialise your innovation without fear of direct competition. IP Searches / Investigations
To get a first impression of whether your idea or invention can be protected by a patent, you can have us conduct a search. This research, also known as an exploratory novelty search, involves searching a special database for relevant publications relating to the invention. Conducting an exploratory novelty search is optional, but can sometimes provide valuable insights. Other examples of searches that our experts specialise in are infringement searches (also known as freedom to operate), validity searches and Landscaping.
Breach advice
When someone makes, uses, sells, imports or distributes a patented invention without the consent of the patent holder, infringement occurs. Infringement of a patent can result in legal action such as litigation, in which the patent holder seeks to stop the infringement and possibly seek damages. Our experts have extensive experience in advising both patent owners who want to take action against infringers and entrepreneurs who are sued for infringement of someone else's patents.

Innovation box
Take advantage of the innovation box scheme and pay only 9% tax on your innovation profits instead of the regular corporate tax rate of up to 25.8%.
This tax incentive scheme does require strategic planning: smaller companies need a WBSO declaration, while larger companies must also have a patent or proprietary software.
